Adults can't have ALL of the fun! Wee ones are welcome & we have fun for the whole family
At the Yosemite Celtic Festival, a weekend of fun awaits our youngest festival-goers! We’ve crafted areas of fun, imagination, and hands-on adventure just for kids. From story times with fairies and forest creatures to pie-eating contests, face painting, games, and crafts—there’s no shortage of enchantment. Families can explore the Fairy Village, cheer on the brave in the Wee Highland Games, or enjoy interactive performances designed to spark laughter and curiosity. This festival isn’t just kid-friendly—it’s a celebration of childhood wonder woven into every part of the weekend.

Kids' CA-BEAR Toss

Oakhurst, California, is known as the "Carved Bear Capital of the World" according to Yosemite This Year. The town is famous for its numerous chainsaw-carved wooden bears displayed at businesses, hotels, restaurants, and other locations. The tradition has become a significant part of Oakhurst's identity, with many artists specializing in this unique art form.

What better way to celebrate our local heritage with a fun CA-BEAR toss with the kids.  Kids will enjoy a great time and fun prizes.

Kids Zone with MyClub

Little ones can get in on the Celtic fun with hands-on crafts made just for them! At the Kids Zone, wee festival-goers can build their very own beard to enter into the Beard & Mustache Championship — because every great Highlander needs some facial fuzz, even the pint-sized ones. Grab your supplies, get creative, and show off your handiwork at the Wee Whiskers Kids Competition!

Feeling more artistic than whiskered? Settle in with crayons and colored pencils for a coloring page featuring Keltie the Highland Coo, the shaggy, lovable star of the Guardians of the Grove book series. Take your masterpiece home as a festival keepsake, or show it off to friends and family on Clan Row!

🎨 Kids Zone activities available all weekend long

Wee Whiskers at the Mustache & Beard Championship

The Great Celtic Beard-Off isn't just for grown-ups! The Wee Whiskers Kids Competition invites young festival-goers to craft their own beard creation in the Kids Zone and strut their stuff on stage alongside the big beards. Whether it's fluffy, colorful, or downright wild, every wee whisker gets its moment in the spotlight — judged by our very own Celebrity Judge, Mike Brewer!

📅 Saturday, October 17th only — part of the Beard & Mustache Championship at the Arts Stage

Story Time with Miranda

Step into a world of wonder as Miranda the Forest Fairy welcomes children to her enchanted grove beneath the trees. Surrounded by nature's beauty, little ones are invited to sit in a cozy circle and listen as Miranda shares her magical tales — filled with ancient forests, curious woodland creatures, and the powerful promise to protect the earth. This is more than just a story — it's an invitation to become a Guardian of the Grove, where imagination meets responsibility, and every child plays a part in keeping the magic alive.

✨ Storytime is complimentary — gather 'round and join the adventure, no ticket required!
